SUBMISSIONS

Our aims when you submit a play:-

To respond with a publication decision as soon as possible from the date of receiving the submitted play

To deliver to you a gratis copy of your published play within one month of receiving the final proof corrected copy.

To update our website with details of your play

To include details of your play in the next print run of the hard copy catalogue

Check out the submission conditions by downloading our brochure here and take a look at our house style guidelines here

Please note that we are constituted to assess plays for publications only from members, so one condition of submitting plays is that you must join first. Membership is currently £16 per annum, which entitles you to submit as many scripts as you wish (see below), access to our member-only pages, a free profile page (if you wish) on our website (where you can publicise any of your work, published - by anyone - or not) and copies of our newsletters, in which you will find news, opinion, advice, writing opportunities, etc. You are also entitled to 15% discount on any NTP play scripts, so you may be able to help out your local dramatic society.

Also note that the Playwrights' Co-operative is a not for profit organisation run by playwrights for playwrights (so we hope we know what you need) and in order to provide running costs we make a small charge for each play submitted, currently £11 for a one act play and £22.50 for a full length play. There are no other hidden costs involved.

Our aim is to provide our members with the means to get their work into the market place and earning money fast! If you’ve ever submitted a play to any other publishing house you will know how slow they can be.

New members and new submissions welcome
